Our Summer

Well, it's always hard to think what to put on subject title before I can start to blog. We just got back home from our one week vacation in Bear Lake with Derek's families. We didn't want to go home. It was nice vacation. The weather was cooler than our home. We had to used fireplace, because the AC was so cold, we tried to adjusted the temperature but it wasn't working. I loved it so much. It was nice to use a fireplace in summer time. Yes our hotel room has a gas fireplace. I miss the California King bed, it was so roomy for us. I realized that I didn't take the pictures of our vacation.

Emma had a bad skin reaction from the dryness and too much of swimming pool. I had to go to the store to bought a Vaseline lotion for her. On Thursday, her skin was much better. We were not allowed her to go to swimming for rest of our vacation. She can only goes to the lake without chemical.

I didn't went outdoor that much, because I don't want to get sunburn. I get sunburn very easily. I don't want to feel the burn at work when I get home. I just stayed indoor at the most of time with the families. Derek went to the golf with his guys families, he had SMALL sunburn after 8 hours in the sun without sunscreen on him. I'm jealous. Also I was avoiding the insects bis too. At the lake, the water was too cold for me, because it was only 75-80 F degrees outside temperatures and it wasn't hot enough to go in. I only went in by my knees length. The all families went in. Last year, the most of adults didn't went in the lake, only the kids and me and Derek. So I thought that everyone probably don't in this year again. So I didn't changed into swimsuit. I brought my swimsuit in case. I wasn't happy about because everyone went in, except me and Derek's parents. We left early to cook a dinner, it was our turn to cook for the families.

Yes, I did knitting too. I never leave behind my knitting. I always bring my knitting with me everywhere. I was knitting Poca by Laura Nelkin. It was too hot to knit this with heavy wool yarn in a hottest day in summer, but I was surprised that it was cooler enough for me to knit.

I indeed feel so weird to be returned to work. Now it's back to normal now.

I have been knitting a lot since back home from Bear Lake. I'm knitting this and this and this. I just finished knit this. I'm trying to get them finish. It's hard, because I'm a mom and an employee. Also housework doesn't clean itself too.

Last month - June - the kids had their first baseball players. They didn't like it. They want soccer. It was hardest month for me, because I was almost never home. Work, game, errands, sleep, and  repeat for a month. I was so happy that we went to Bear Lake, because I haven't been off from work for  7 months, I so much needed time off from adulthood life. Now July is almost over and I feel better. I'm really excited for school soon start then my life will be so much easier. And so excited for autumn to come, I hate summer heat and wildfires. I noticed that we didn't go to the swimming pool center, compare to last ten years. Since we moved and we don't go to Aquatic center because our previous house was one block away from it. Now we are 8 miles away from Logan. We go to the Hyrum lake because it is a few blocks away from us. We even can walk to the lake to save our car ticket for parking lot.

Wyatt is 6th grade and Emma is 4th grade. Wyatt has ADHD. So he will gets medicine for it so he can be focus at school.

So there you go. See you soon.
