Ami's Shawl

 It was before blocked shawl.
I washed in a basket with mild soap Eucalan. I pinned and wire it. It's only took me about 30 to 45 minutes to finished this. I want to do night time while the kids are in their bed time and I left it on my floor while a ceiling fan is on to get shawl dry faster for morning.
I love the detail of texture. I love the leaves look.
Pretty lace. A center is spinal straight from above to bottom.
When I removed the pinned off from the blocking, the kids were helping too, I love the feeling of finished shawl smoothly than wrinkle shawl.
Look at it! I love to see the hang down shawl. It is light weight shawl. Mmm.
I also added the crystal color beads on the tip of leaves. Ami wanted purple, grey, and white color. Perfect for me. I have that color yarn ready to be made. It took me one month to knitting this shawl. This is little mind focus on. I had to pay close attention on a pattern so I can be keeping track so I won't be lost. I start with 3 stitches cast on then knitting for about 8 rows then picked up the long edge of little swatch. The spinal is center to created a triangle shawl. I am hoping that Ami will love this. She doesn't want a long and big shawl. She wanted a small shawl like a cowl around her neck.

My another sister-in-law has a shawl that I knitted for her Christmas present. I didn't want to wait for next Christmas for Ami. So I go ahead and knitted it.

I found out that Amy (Derek's family cousin) is pregnant with her first baby girl. She lives in Denver, CO. Her husband is teaching in a school. Amy used to lived in Logan until she got married in 2010 (I think) and she moved to there. I want to knit a baby blanket for her. I want a special look of a blanket. Not too basic blanket. It will be color white blanket. It will be 100% acyclic. I don't want a wool because I want Amy to have a easy take care of a blanket for washing.
