This is Fiesta Boomerang. Crazy price! Ok, I admit, it's $33.00 per each skein. I bought it a while ago. I wanted to change the color. This is BEFORE dyeing.
So I finally decided to dye the yarn. I dyed a color blue. I wanted red turns into purple, and yellow turns into green.
I boiled it. I added the food color blue and Kool-Aid blue. Let it sits in pot for an hour in really warmest to mild hot water. Waited for the yarn to absorbed the color. The water became clear. Awesome to watched it!
Of course, I was so carefully to not felted the yarn together. I was stirred in gentle.
You can see the water blue. I used a big pot with plastic spoon. I used potato masher to get the color into yarn. I drained the water into drain bowl. I rinsed it again with a mild soap. This is AFTER dyeing.
I am so HAPPY with the result. I like the color. No more red and yellow. I like the color blue-made it more blue.
I straight it out the skein into nicely flat than curly. Yarn laying down on a dry rug so the fan can dry it more quickly than just air to dry. I am planning to knit this yarn for scarf-shawl for myself. Do you think that is pretty color??? Yes?? I used flashed camera so you can see the good picture of the color.
