Smitten

On Friday afternoon I gathered my yarn and needles and started a little smitten in winter color.
I started with my swatches to checked up my gauge. I used a lot of ruler and tape measures. I wanted to make sure I got the right gauge swatch. Sometimes the rulers trick to me. I knitted in the round swatch. I used flat-in-round method. If you know what's that mean if you are knitter. I like that way than knitting a whole around swatch. I just cut the threads in the back, I just knitted them in the double-point needles and just slide it another point of the needles. It will be easy if I show you or you can check up on YouTube.

I knit and knit- I cast on 32 stitches for the cuffs. I then add the cuffs to become one mitten then I decreased until shape of top of mitten to finishing.
Voila! A little smitten, made from one ball of I Love This Yarn Hobby Lobby, color Navy Blue, done in less than a weekend.  I wove in all my ends.  Easy, quick and winterlike. So much fun, I almost made another one. It's looking like a heart mitten. That's good name for love couples.

PS, I am hoping that Justin and Keisha will love it. I am hoping that they will enjoying wear them while they are holding their hands in this smitten in the winter season.

PSS, on facebook, I post the picture of it and asked "what do you think about this?" a few people said they love it. so that's when I decided to knit the smitten. At the first, I think that is silly mitten until I asked a few people about it. So it's good to know that some of the people like it.

PSSS, this is for Justin and Keisha, their wedding gift.
