Anyway, here about my knitting/crocheting stuffs.
I have been knitting swatch lately. I was in mood for swatch while I am still knitting the projects. So I wanted to knitting fair isle tam hat from Mary Jane Mucklestone. My new obsessed designer knitter. She lives in Portland, Maine. She is major in fair isle knitting. I have her class fair isle on my Craftsy.com. I love Craftsy. It's knitting videos with many different kind of classes that you want to learn about knitting. Of course, it's not only all about knitting. It has crochet, spinning, gardening, painting, cooking, and quilter. Once you bought the class, it will be never expired, it yours. as long as how many times you watch the class for your lifetime. Also it money back guarantee. Also it has closed captions on any computers. Unfortunately, not yet on tablets for closed captions, but at least it has on computer, right?
I find the new yarn that I fell in love with is Jamieson's Shetland wool from Shetland near to Scotland. The yarn is rough and best for fair isle knitting. I am all the wools lover. I don't care how soft or rough. If rough, wear something beneath. The wool keep you to stay warm in the winter time.
I finished knit this hat. I love it so much. I even knit this for my niece for Christmas present along with journal book. Emilee is pre teenage stage. So those are good for her. I am glad she loves it too. I made it little bigger and long length for me. Emilee is regular size. The brim is garter with short row to created this beauty over flap brim and sewed it. Why yes, it's wool yarn. I refuse to use red heart yarn. I absolutely hate acyclic yarn.
I am crocheting the baby jumper dress for no reason. It's will be going into the long planning box saving. If my brother is going have a baby girl, I will give this to them. I crochet in 18 months old size. The pattern comes from Robyn Chachula, my favorite crocheter designer. I use sheep(ish) yarn from Bernets company. It's not yet finish. I am working on it. But currently that I am still working on Wyatt's dinosaur stuffed toy. Only 3 more legs to go then I am done.
I told you that I was in mood for more swatches. So here another swatch with pure silk hankies direct straight from cocoon moth. I am not spinning this yarn. I just stretch the hankie into how thickness I want for yarn. I want to make the mittens. Silk is about 3 times warmer than wool's. I am swatching this to get the gauge for mittens size.
That's all for today. Happy knitting, for me, ahem.
