In about 2 Fridays ago, (July 1st), we found out that our friend- Ellen O'Hara was killed in a car accident in West Jordan. She was attempted to make a U-Turn. Maybe she didn't see that one coming at her. We and also her parents are confusing why did she do that? We went to Deaf Center for her memories service. We will go again tomorrow here in Logan. She was 31 years old. Her cemetery will be in Missouri. We also found out that she is cremated due to badly damaged body.
Her crash site was just simple accident that caused killed her. She drove a Subaru outback (2000ish). A pickup white truck hits her car by her driver side. I am hoping she is not in suffering while in crash before her death. I was saying that I am hoping that she died instantly without suffer the fatal injury.
Lately, here in Utah- there are so many in millions car accidents. It's scares me. I am glad that we live in small city far away from the freeway I-15. I will so much rather to take a bus, streetcar, train (frontrunner), and taxi(not here, but you know).
Ellen was divorced. She was a teacher in JMS(deaf school in SLC). She did do things a lot going on in her life. She is very energized person. We are totally opposite! She is fifth of 7th in her family. You can watch her memories service here. Also it was good to see the old friends too.
We did had fun time of our July 4th. We didn't go to the tradition for firework in Logan by USU stadium. We usually sit on grass by Lee's Marketplace. Because Derek's parents had to work. But we did, indeed, went to Lewiston firework. I love Lewiston firework: less crowd, few people, small town, not too loud, quiet place, so few of the kids, and had a portable of toilet.
Yes, I know, I know. We had to. Yes, we had to use our credit card. The old ones won't start when I needed to start to wash the dishes. But it did wash really well. So I saw the opportunity of the July 4th sales in Lowes. So I ordered online. I want silver this time. Microwave is next, because it makes funny noise (my parents told me). I want all of them brand: Whirlpool. I had Maytag, KitchenAid, & Frigidaire. I want all match brand of appliances.
When I first saw this shoes from Clara Parkes in her Instagram. I had to have it. It is AllBirds. Hey! You know that I am knitter! I love this shoes so much. You don't necessary to wear the socks. It's sooooooooo comfortable than the other runner shoes EVER! I didn't get blisters. My ankle heel is not sores. You can throw it in washer machine to clean it. I am planning to buy one for Derek. Go on and read the story of this shoes. It is worth my money. I ordered while I was in Disneyland.
Anyway, about my knitting- the shawl is still in processing (now it is over 500 stitches). I am now on the second of sock for my mum for christmas present. Only two more socks to go (for dad and jake).
I registered the kids for swimming lesson class for two weeks. They started last week. It will be end this Friday. Then next week, we are going to Bear Lake. It is not summer without it! We need to set tent in our backyard. I love tent. We can't go to campsite due to Derek's work. He can't get it day off instant. So we will plan on this. We also have a fire pit too.
